Midwest Automation entered the woodworking markets in the 1960s with the introduction of machines used for laminating and fabricating postformed kitchen countertops. Since that time, the product line has expanded to include a wide variety of flat and 3D panel laminating machines using continuous roller presses and hydraulic platen presses developed through years of application experience and design innovations. The line also includes specialized panel saws, wide belt sanders, and combination planer/sanders.

Midwest Automation together with Italian machinery manufacturer partners, OMMA Macchine and ORMA Macchine, manufacture a variety of high performance laminating and engineered systems for liquid polyurethane, epoxies, and PUR hot melt adhesive applications, as well as a variety of water base laminating machines and systems. Midwest Automation laminating machines have been used extensively in the kitchen countertop, office furniture, architectural door, engineered wood flooring, structural and insulated panel and composite panel industries for over 50 years.

Midwest Automation manufactures an industrial line of 3D shuttle and clamshell style laminating presses. Shuttle and Clamshell Presses provide a simple and affordable solution for 3-dimensional laminating applications and are capable of laminating a variety of decorative overlays including flexible and rigid vinyls, KYDEX® thermoplastic sheet, surf(x)®, and polystyrene.

Midwest Automation manufacturers a wide variety of material handling machines and systems for the wood industry. Products including panel feeders, lift tables, laminate racks, layup tables, powered and non-powered conveyors, and more.  Fully integrated engineered systems are also available to facilitate product flow, increase through-put and improve ergonomics.
